Big donation for the new big pool slide

With the new slide at the Blue Earth Community Pool in the background, there was an official check presentation for a large donation towards the cost of the new slide. The Blue Earth Community Foundation raised the funds with the help of a dedicated committee and the generous donations from many in the community. Pictured at left, left to right, are: Jordan Huse, lifeguard at the pool; Dave Kittleson, Slide Committee chairman; John Huisman, BECF chairman, Marty Sawyer, BECF board member; Rick Scholtes, mayor of Blue Earth; Tim Ibisch, Blue Earth city administrator. As shown on the check, the donation amount was $37,744.38.
